Situated within Daisetsuzan National Park, one of the largest national parks in Japan, this resort is surrounded by native spruce trees and is great for backcountry skiing with an abundance of powder snow. It is an off-piste paradise (for advanced skiers and snowboarders only) and also has other activities available as well including the Asahidake ropeway (also known as the ‘sky walk’) which ascends 500 vertical meters, offering spectacular views.
